i just arrived in Windsor in june. i have chinese driving license of 1998. i know that the chinese license could not be transferred to Canadian one, which means i have to take the exams including knowledge test and road test. however, probably i will work in Detroit in mid of july. the question is whether I could drive a car with my chinese license for just a couple of month till I get G2? if yes, can i buy a car without driving license? must i go to Ministry of Transportation to get the permit? can i drive on highway?
