I cannot emphasize too much how important it is for us to build our own vocabulary. Kids know much fewer words than us, but they can express themselves fluently. The reason is they have their own vocabulary. We know a lot of words but we don't have our own vocabulary.

One of my colleagues came from China two months ago. He called me today and told me his client's computer system has been intruded by some hackers. He found out that his co-workers were talking about this matter using different words. Actually, it is enough for us to know one word about this matter: compromise. You won't be wrong in using this word as you discuss the intrusion of your computer system. The typical example is:

Our computer system was compromised last night.

Our computer system has been compromised three times during the past three months.
