本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛If you have access to a car it is easy to drive to McMaster. Take the
QEW
highway toward Hamilton, exit at the 403 highway (where the signs say
"To
Hamilton"), follow it to the Main Street West exit, then turn left on
Main
Street and go about 2 km. The University is on your right. Turn in,
take
the first left. The person at the parking booth will require a deposit
of
$8.50, but will refund some money if you are not parked all day.
If you don't have a car, perhaps the GO Transit bus is the best way.
(see
http://www.gotransit.com/). They have buses that run from different
points
in Toronto to Hamilton many times per day. Schedules can be found on
the
page http://www.gotransit.com/access/lstser.asp?station=DUND (The King
and
Dundurn stop is currently the closest to McMaster.)
From this stop, take a city bus number 1A, 5C or 51, which will take
you to
the McMaster Campus. (When the bus stops, ask the driver if he is
going to
McMaster.) The second stop on campus is directly in front of our
building.
They have a map of the city at
http://www.city.hamilton.on.ca/hsr/HSR-RouteMap9909.pdf The fare is
$2.00
in cash.
Make sure to buy a round-trip GO bus ticket in Toronto -- there is no
ticket office at the stop where you will get back on the return bus.
