另外再请朋友们仔细读读关于成为公民和不能成为公民的条件。里面根本没有提到对于申请人在提交申请后的居住地和在国外居住时间有任何要求，如果申请人在提交申请后的国外居住对公民申请的处理有影响，那一贯在文件和信息上严谨的政府是绝对不会忽略或是避而不谈的。就象申请配偶移民一样，当时我记得其中要求之一就是SPONSOR必须身在加拿大。可见，如果有次要求政府绝对会清楚告诉你的。
而至于说关于申请后离开加拿大的问题，那时属于保留PR有效的规定范围（即2年/5年）。所以，有一条关于成为公民的条件是明确的，看原文“Paragrph 5(1)(c) of the Citizenship Act stipulates that, pursuant to section 24 of the Immigration Act, an applicant must not lose permanent resident status at any time before being granted citizenship”即在你被批准为公民之前，你保持PR的有效。
这也是为什么一些人被请去见法官的原因，因为他们要确认这一点。
当然被请去见法官还有其他的原因，见原文：“The CIC office calls the applicant and sets a date for the citizenship test.
