'Direct threat' shuts TTC subway

The TTC has shut down parts of the Yonge St. and Bloor St. lines because of what is described as a “direct threat” against the subway system.
The threat came about 10 a.m., and police cleared the Yonge/Bloor and Sherbourne stations as a precaution.
Police are searching for any knapsacks that have been left and sniffer dogs have been brought in.
The TTC says every station in the subway system will be searched.
The TTC is operating shuttles in the meantime.
