who reminds me that my english is not good, and I also treasure every chance that improves my english. I know that my english is so far from what I wish it should be. and I also know that GRE, sometime TOEFL is not easy for majority to handle and more difficult for geting a ideal score. this is why I doubt and argue it. 大家似乎有个错觉：把G、T等同高考。以为美国大学也会择高分录取。事实上，研究生的录取更看重专业背景(文章发表，课程选修，GPA，推荐信等)。英语能达到要求就行了。如果学校要求TOEFL 580，我考600，你考650，你几乎没什么优势。

自从ETS给各大学发信之后，很多学校对中国学生的GT高分不信任。通常的做法是设配额，每年就录取两三个中国学生，让中国学生互相竞争。

这里的中文贴有语法错误、错别字都不少，更何况英文。如果指出错误的人说得对，就虚心接受，何必在乎他/她的GT考了多少分。

Canada do not have too many universities. You can find universities/colleges in each province at yahoo > canada > province > education > universities and colleges. I think it would be better if you post some specific schools here and ask for advice about them. BTW why don't you focus on american universities? They usually gives you more credit on your Chinese background than canadian schools.

Tuxie gg, please recheck the sentence “oh, Cherokee! do not give up me,”, it maybe stupid but I think should write it as” plz do not give ME up”, BUT NOT “GIVE UP ME” your know that here in china nobody got 643 or higher in toefl should make such a terrible mistake, especially considering the situation that you are trying to be a gentle man.
And plz do not waste Cherokee’s SPARE TIME, I will “keep my critical and constructive suggestion” on your articles . because Cherokee is someone have a stronger power that me in the field of writing. And it maybe stupid but I think I can be your , “kind of "LIANG4 SHI1" .

After reading your articles I have to say that though you are always trying to be a gentle man, I think you are nobody.
Do you know why?
First, you always think that other people are doing something to “show off” themselves. and your ignorance finally lead to a terrible mistake. You think that I try to show off , because I post a article, like GRE 2280,TOEFL 643.
I have to tell you that it seems that you are so far away from the mainland china and maybe for a very long time, you did not know that situation here in china. Now get 2100 in gre in very common, and 2200 is nothing to take about, and also a lot of people get 2300 or higher. So if I want to show off, I will post the article with the title, “ hi ,everyone guys with gre 2400 and toefl 677.is here”
I used the title because I wanted to see more comments on my situation, but not some evil words on my article.
And what is more, should I think that you attacked me in order to show yourself more “ brightly” just because you wrote that article with the sentence “my toefl score is not lower than his” after you criticized me??
It is clear that your logical reasoning is very poor and always leads you in to a terrible situation. You always treat other people very harshly but treat yourself……………….right?

unlike you , I do not want to question your personality, .and, I can forgive your ignorance of the gre score and the situation here in china.
So if you want to be a gentle man , plz, post your critical articles carefully in order not to fool yourself.

Second, as it is now well known that YOU also make a lot of mistakes in your own articles, so I have to say that if you want to attack me just because I made a few mistakes , plz write a perfect article by YOURSELF and then come back here to give comments on mine. So your attacking me now seems have no power to convince anybody here ,maybe you even cannot convince yourself sometimes, that your attack me as a hero. It seems now you seems a “nobody” here!

At last, I just want to know some info, about the grad-schools in north American, I have no intention to attack anybody here including you. and I have not intention to show myself.

Actually, I use some “evil” words in this article and I have to say sorry to you.

I never think that my english is good, it is maybe stupid but I think you too, this is the fact, reality. some critiques remind me and spur me to struggle, I have never felt those crituqes are evil. (sorry to use my own thought to judge others' feeling); even I welcome anybody to criticize my E.

tell you why I attacked you, no, not attcked you but your E, just because of my astonishment. And only now, I begin to understand the feeling when you reading my article. 快人快语，敢说敢干，有屁就放，管他对错。三思而后行，那是典型的中国土知识分子的说法。就凭你的条件，你就大胆地申请 UT OR UWATERLOO 这些顶尖的学校的 MASTER OR PHD PROGRAM。在UT， SCHOLARSHIP IS $19，000 PLUS TA AROUND $6,000. 写三封好的推荐信，不要有语法错误。写一封LETTER OF STATEMENT，严谨一些，不要象在这帖贴子。申请PHD 都有奖学金，申请MASTER 不一定， UT 一定有。还可以考虑UALBERTA。 MACMASTER 没有PHD PROGRAM IN CS。QUEEN‘S 也可以，钱多少不知道。有啥不明白的接着问。我知道一定回答。
