By the time you start full-time postsecondary study, i.e. first semester starts Sept 2002, you have to meet one of these:
1. If you are on your own, no partner, no parent resident with you in Ontario, you have to live in Ontario for 12 consecutive months.
2. Or your partner has lived in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months
3. Your parents have lived in Ontario for 12 consecutive month.
4. If you lived other provinces before, and don't meet 1/2/3, you have to apply for fund through other provinces agency.
So if you are a new immigrant, and only live in Ontario for six month by now, you may or may not eligible for OSAP, depends when you will attend your study, if the study begins six months later, go ahead to apply, otherwise you have to wait until your next semester.
