why there is no answer for my question?

I don't want to exchange too much money to Canadian Dollar and bring them to Canada only for staying there for 2 weeks but I don't want to get trouble when I land in Canada.

Just want to ask if someone has done the same things before and at least how much money should I take with me.

Should I tell the officer in the Customer when I am landing that I only plan to stay in Canada for 2 weeks but I will return to Canada in 2-3 months just because I still have something need to be done at home.

Please give me a answer!

thanks!

    • i think the average expense should be less than $80 per day, if you are not gonna buy lots of thing.
      • I don't care about the actual expense. I just want to know if the canadian customer officer will allow me to land of not when I only take 1500 Canadian Dollar with me.
And should I tell the officer that I only stay for 2 weeks at the beginning?
        • First of all you needn't tell them how long you will stay in Can. cause they don't care. Second, you should bring the required amount of money, otherwise you might really in trouble. They may refuse your landing.
          • It really doesn't make sense for me to bring $10000 to Canada just for staying there 2 weeks. It will be a big trouble if u always have $10000 currency in ur pocket for 2 weeks
            • Anyway that the way it is. Everything is up to you. Good luck.
It is much safer than than you carry 10000 here in China. You apply for immigration and you are supposed to resident in Canada. So you might be refused landing if you just come for a LP.
              • i think u misunderstand my meaning. I will bring all of my money to Canada 3-4 months later and stay in Canada!
I still have to live outside Canada for another 3-4 months and still have some problem to take all my money out of the bank in a short time due to some interest problem. So I need time to get money out of my current account step by step and not in one month.
          • just want to know if some friend had the same problem and have some good practical solution for it. if u do, please give me an answer! thanks
            • I remeber a tax regulation in Canada that there is no tax if you bring money to Canada at the first time. But there is about 30% income tax the next time.
I heard CND5000 should be repared for 押金. You should confirm those.
              • "30% income tax the next time"? Never heard of this. I transfered money many times after "the first time" and never had any problems.
