AOL may leave somethings behind when you thought you've uninstall it. So probably it's better to re-install the operating system, if you don't feel ease with Windows registry and dial-up network configurations.

    • get yourself a uninstallation software, like Norton Cleansweep, very convenient to use. You should be able to find them free on line.
        • I believe they should be available on some of the Chinese software download sites. I have some softwares at home and if you need it, email me and I can let you use them. It should not be a big problem. Cheers.

    • I don't believe there is no shortcut in the program group of that software to allow the uninstallation in such a case. If it happens to, you have to manually uninstall a product.
Some softwares use Windows Installer while the others are not. So the value/keys in the registry are different.
Manually you are not able to clean up everything unless the software itself provides the manual uninstallation tools. But mostly if you only want to invalidate it, to remove Software\<your software name> under all HIVEs in registry should be enough. Then remove the file system folder where the products is shipped in.
WHAT A MESS! :-((((
        • Reinstall it in the original destination, then uninstall it again. Maybe that will help ^_^
          • I will give it a try. thanks!
