My house was destroyed by fire caused by neighbor's house fire(Townhouse) . My family couldn't live in for around one year before the house could be fixed. My monthly maintenance fee includes house structure insurance to fix my house. But because I didn't buy content insurance(property insurance), I have to pay rent and all the cost (including my house maintenance fee) during this period. My neighbor has content insurance, but we still haven't got investigation results yet. So his insurance company won't do anything for us before investigation results. Our codo-minum property manager said that because I didn't buy content insurance, so even I sue my neighbor, I won't win because in Canada I will be the loser all the time if I don't buy insurance. I need help for advise what should I do for my suffer and damage.
