accounting in one of the universities part-time. According to my co-worker, her husband likes to set gossl for himself and once he achieves a goal, he moves on to achieve the next one. Hence, after he made the partner which is the goal he set for himself about 10 years ago, he now considers to teach full time (he received the offer from the university), which means that the money he makes will be significantly less than being a partner. My co-worker said that if that is what he decides to do, then they will down size (they have 2 young kids, 11 and 6 yrs old) and she will support him.
If there is no financial hardship, wouldn't it be a good thing to the marriage to support one's spouse in pursuing their dreams?
