You will missleading the guy if he doesn't know nothing about ISO

2)If you have burning software and CD-RECORDER, YOU COULD burn the image to the CD
3)iso file comes from real cd , if the oringinal CD is bootable, the new bruning CD should be
4) WINISO is kind of software to read or even edit the file in ISO image without CD burning, if you copy the file from CD image to your harddisk, the bootable ability will lose.
5)Deamon tools is another one of software to support CD IMAGE ( ISO,CUE,... ), it works in this way, simulate a new CD driver, and map the CD image to that new CD driver. then you could use it directly, no copy necessary.
6)you could try to install deamon tools firstly and install win2000 from that virtual CD driver directly. ( then you could install win2000 without CD WRITER) ,
7) backup all your document and hardware driver ( network card driver is most important!) is strongly recommend. copy i386 subfloder to your partition D: is recommend too.
8)If you do not have partition D: , burning the image to CD is the safe way.
