Cathay Pacific has dropped the price of their April 2024 flights from Toronto to Vietnam and Thailand down to between $826 and $950 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in Hong Kong.
Great prices to SE Asia have been non-existent for years.
April is one of the best months to visit either country.
You can also extend the layover in Hong Kong and make it a 2-in-1 trip, for $889 CAD roundtrip.
And if you really want to get creative, you can fly into Thailand, and then fly from Vietnam to Hong Kong, and back to Toronto - all for $903 CAD roundtrip
UPDATE @ 2:30 PM EST - Dates are definitely disappearing quickly. Starting to see prices jump when selecting dates on Google Flights which is an indicator that dates are selling out. More likely to find dates that are still cheap in May than in April now.
UPDATE - As of 3 PM EST I believe these may be the only working dates left:
May 14, 17, 18, 20, 21 to May 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, Jun 2.

How to find and book these flights
1. Start with a Google Flights search like this one:

Google Flights: Toronto to Bangkok, Thailand
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
- Adjust the trip length at the bottom.
2. Go to Kayak or Skyscanner
- Try the same destination and dates you found on Google Flights.
You can also find dates in May 2024 (and even into the beginning of June), but Google Flights can't browse dates that far way.
1. Try starting with a Kayak search like this one:
Kayak - third week of April to first week of May
Kayak - last week of April to second week of May
Kayak - beginning of May to third week of May
Kayak - second week of May to end of May
Kayak - middle of May to beginning of June
- Once your search completes, you can try different dates (and destinations) in late April and May to see what's available.
