The pendulum has swung. Too far? I don't think so. I am only seeing men as the dominant force in our society are wielding back their powers over women.
She is right in this regard that power imbalance should be corrected, not perpetuated. However, women are unfortunately being oppressed continuously, therefore the power imbalance is still being perpetuated, still by men, our clever, powerful male citizens.
Suggestions for this mother: say byebye to this man. recognize that the biological ties cannot be cut, but the emotional and physical ties have no needs to be restored. sell the house and move on. Canada is a great country after all for mothers and children.
