registration应该一个月左右收到，但你还需要办护照不是？好象要两个星期。还有啊，BABY那么小，不好作飞机吧，十几个小时啊。还是三个月后吧。

with all the document you still have, go to local passport office, ask if you can get one for newborn. I am not sure long form is always requried.1. I suppose you can extend your rent by monthly basis, so not the end of the world.
2. Please don't plan things on your own schedule like that, always be conservative.
3. Be patient, do things right this time, prevent bigger trouble later on.

moresorry, once you sent out Statement of Live Birth. there is certain period of waiting time, but you can check with Registrar General office after 10 weeks, if registration is done in computer, you may require the birth certificate through same day service.
Then you can go to passport office, 24-48 hours if you are in a hurry,

You can go to local city hall get a proof of birth for a newborn baby($25) and take this proof to passport office apply a one year valid passport.

registrar general office 是不是在900 bay street? 如是这个的话，应有加急的，不过你得亲自去问一下，拿一张表，我以前办过其他的加急证明（上午去，下午拿）多付$75. 你要提供机票等travel plan作为加急的理由。

sorry, maybe mssg is right, because once you use the regular procedure, u might not use the hurry service any more. but if I were you, I would take a chance.

先恭喜你生BABY了，呵呵，我的baby比你的大11天，我们7月9号就要回国喽。你别着急，7月底回国没问题。关键是你要先预订机票，跟AGENT要一张INVOICE(我在天宝定的，要交50元押金)。然后你拿着这个东西去你所在区的REGISTRAR OFFICE申请TRAVEL LETTER(也就是临时的出生证，要交25元，当时就可以取)，接着就可以办护照了(注：是临时护照，与正式的相比唯一区别就是有效期不同。等出生纸下来了，你可以转为正式的，费用15元)。办理护照要2个星期。不能加急。

俺还听说孕妇也不宜乘飞机，因为不但安检有射线，在高空更有射线影响胎儿，尤其是怀孕头三个月（听大夫讲的）。

同喜同喜！非常感谢你的信息。临时护照的有效期是多长？你们什么时候回加拿大给宝宝办正式护照呢？可以在加拿大住中国大使馆办正式护照么？我们回国后， 可能两年内都不回来。出生纸也不知道何时能寄到，怕到时候地址都变了。

临时的有效期一年，正式的是3年，拿到出生纸后就可以去PASSPORT OFFICE办了，在加拿大驻华大使馆办也可。出生纸一定要3，4个月才会下来，如果你的statement of live birth 还没寄出就好了，可以办URGENT SERVICE，2 个星期就可以拿到出生纸了。不过这不是大问题，我想跟他们说一下，应该可以
把出生纸寄到中国的吧。当然最好打电话问一下4163258305(要等候大概20分钟才会有人接)。

还要先买机票,否则护照那里会有问题,你会得到临时护照(一年期),我的孩子刚办完这些手续,
