do u submit ur application yet? if you do, means u r eligible in terms of 1095 days, otherwise yes you will need to maintain ur PR status, check out www.cic.gc.ca.

yes I do. I submitted my application. You mean, I don't need to update my address change and continue my previous address? Regarding the returning permit, do I need to apply for it? Thanks a lot.

1. as long as you maintain status "我的家仍然在加拿大" you don't need to report anything. 2. return permit? don't you have PR card now? how you plan to return after 2004-01-01?

1. But from the website of GIC.gc.ca, people should report if they will travel outside of canada 4 weeks in a row!. I am confused about this.2. I've got my maple leaf card. What I meant is to keep my PR status, because i heard that people should stay in canada at least half an year every year, right? I could be wrong though.

no idea what is GIC.gc.ca. but if government said so, then you report.I don't understand why you said "因为我的家仍然在加拿大,我会经常回来的. 我觉得我没有必要通知他们吧." after you checked out GIC.gc.ca.
travel 4 weeks in a row! - come back often since "我的家仍然在加拿大"
如果告诉他们,会不会把我的申请据了? - understand the rules, get around it without lying.

i often come back home means: in average, almost every one or two month I will be back to canada, since I am working in US. I am not a rich guy, and will come back every week.u kind of misunderstood. I don't want to do anything agaist the rules, that is why I asked those quesitons here.

no offense. 1. if CIC said so, you should report. 2. if you are worried, come back more often. 3. don't get US driver license before application approved. 3. good luck.

how about banking account in US?
I guess, if we meet the residence days requirements before we leave canada, it would be fine. But I am not sure, since I am not a judge.
Thanks anyway

I don't think you have anything to worry about no matter you report or not.

I am pretty happy to hear that there is no "2nd" requirement now that u mentioned. I am pretty slow about the current policy (some years ago, we should apply for returning permit in order to keep our PR).Anyway, if what u said is true, the grant of the citizenship would be just a matter of time for us, since we are definitely good citizen from any aspects. We don't need to worry about it.
