You keep the old passport with US visa. The visa is still valid. When you go to US, you should show the custom two passports.

护照renew的时候只是在你old护照的renew页上加注和盖章。

renew指的是延期，护照依旧，只是在某页纸上多了几行字和一个红戳。change是换发，你就有了两本护照。
