You can ask the client company pay for the car rental expense. It is actually small amoutn compare with consulting charge. If client likes you they will rent you a Lexus or a big Van.Off course you can end up with a corrola sometimes.

如果是开车的距离，可以用你私家车。可以用加拿大执照在美国开加拿大注册的车，几个月没问题(好象是6month) 。
