In my community, some family put candies outside the house to let kids serve themselves. This leaves those people (without availability) without excuse.It's very basic social rule: if you take kids out for candies, you'd better provide candies yourself. If the outside lights are on, then the family is welcoming kids even without pumpkin lights (that's rule in our neighbourhood).

Comm'on People,Cheapness is in our blood.Chinese = Cheap, Made in China = Cheap product. Why hide it? The holiday will still go on despite Cheap Chinese. Please don't point finger at people who are cheap, it is not a religion you have to listen to the GOD or something. People who give out candies and who ask for candies , all of them did it volunteerily. Some people enjoy gving out candies, some people enjoy to get free candies, don't always critize CHINESE for them being who they are.
